Tre Marie Easter Doves 2019

Since 1896 the Pasticceria Tre Marie based in Milan is the absolute market leader in high quality desserts and celebration cakes. The product range has increased year after year, respecting the original recipes and Tre Marie has become one of the indispensable symbols of the Italian patisserie.


At Naturali we have just closed a fantastic Christmas season where we have managed to make the Tre Marie brand grow thanks to the cooperation with of the most important retailers in Europe.


We are now happy to introduce you to the Easter range which mostly includes Colomba (In English Dove). Colomba di Pasqua or “Easter Dove” is the Italian traditional Easter cake, the counterpart of the two well-known Italian Christmas desserts, panettone and pandoro.


The dough for the colomba is made in a similar manner to panettone, with flour, eggs, sugar, natural yeast and butter; unlike panettone, it usually contains candied peel and no raisins. In the traditional version, the dough is then fashioned into a dove shape and finally is topped with pearl sugar and almonds before being baked.
